Last week we attended the organic food awards reception at the Bordeaux Quay in Bristol, where a sumptuous meal was prepared by renowned chef Barnaby Haughton. The clever thing about it was that all the winning food had been used as ingredients for the lunch (see below). Bizarrely, Hampstead Tea was used in the dessert to make âpairs in earl grey sauceâ a unique combination, which worked remarkably well. Perhaps we should start thinking about launching Hampstead Desserts? Well, maybeâ¦
The awards presentation ceremony followed lunch, and was hosted by celebrity comedian Hardeep Singh Kohli , who certainly did a great job keeping the room erupting in bursts of laughter. We collected our award, took our photos and then sadly it was time to hit the road back to London. It was a tremendous afternoon and hopefully weâll get to go again!
